At the time Karhuwa Tights were sold, all other companies' items that used octa were lined with octa. Those might have been rather because they were designed for activities in colder and higher altitude environments than in Japan. Although Ling also paid attention to the lightweight and moderately heat-retaining octa, we did not intend to use it as a lining fabric. In the low mountains, which are Ling's field, he felt that it was more flexible and overwhelmingly versatile to use a single pair of octa tights, sometimes layered with spring/summer and sometimes with autumn/winter pants. You can use them as active insulation in cold-weather chinogging to provide adequate warmth during action, in warmer seasons as a crotch to outlast the night during overnight chinogging, or slip them into a gap in your backpack for all-year-round use.
