■Ultra-lightweight, minimalist active insulation
The front features Polartec Alpha Direct (136 g/m²), which combines thermal insulation with breathability to prevent moisture buildup during activity. Wearing a shell over it keeps the torso warm, while the back and shoulders are made of lightweight, breathable Shadow Rip, ensuring you stay cool even when carrying a backpack.
This minimalist, simple active insulation weighs just 69 grams and is sure to come in handy on your travels.
○ Heat retention on the front only
Since the back and shoulders tend to get hot when wearing a backpack during activities, and you’re less likely to feel the cold at night because you’re in close contact with your sleeping pad, we’ve intentionally placed the highly insulating Polartec Alpha Direct fabric only on the front panel, while using ultra-thin, highly breathable Shadow Rip fabric on the back and shoulders.
○ Exceptionally high breathability
By using Polartec Alpha Direct as the outer fabric, this garment offers excellent breathability. It maintains warmth without trapping heat or moisture, allowing you to stay comfortable while on the move.
○ Excellent quick-drying properties
Both Polartec Alpha Direct and Shadow Rip, the fabrics used in the Alpha Vest, feature quick-drying properties that allow them to dry quickly even when wet from sweat or rain.
○ Retains heat even when wet
Polartec Alpha Direct does not easily absorb moisture, and even when wet, it retains its loft; therefore, like synthetic down, it is less likely to lose its insulating properties when exposed to sweat or light rain.

It’s lighter than a T-shirt and folds down to about the size of a 350ml can.

・Please wash this item on its own or place it in a laundry net.
・If the back of this product comes into prolonged contact with light-colored wool or silk garments while damp with sweat, substances in the sweat may cause color transfer.
・If the garment becomes sweaty, please wash it after wearing it.
・Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
・Do not iron or dry clean.
・If the fabric sheds noticeably when you first purchase it, please wash it once.
■Caring for Faded Fleece
The brushed fabric used in Yama to Michi’s Active Insulation is lightweight and highly breathable, yet provides just the right amount of warmth.
However, repeated use may cause the nap to flatten, which could reduce its insulating properties.
In that case, please gently brush the fabric in the direction of the nap using a metal lint brush designed specifically for stuffed animals.
*This care method is designed to restore the nap and improve insulation. However, fibers that have fallen out due to wear and tear will not grow back.
*The effectiveness of heat retention may vary depending on how the product is used.
