"If those judo shorts let you perform techniques with that much freedom, they must be easy to walk and move around in, too."
Based on that idea, we created the Judo Pants by using the pattern of authentic judo pants.
The waist features Ryō's proprietary stretch drawcord, which enhances comfort and ease of use. Furthermore, by combining it with vintage-finished nylon, it possesses a dignified presence that rivals that of an authentic judo gi.
This is a piece unique to Ryō, incorporating traditional Japanese designs into contemporary Shinogi ware.

■With Care
Made from vintage-finished nylon with a subdued sheen and just the right amount of firmness and body, it’s comfortable to wear from fall through spring.
The waist features a stretch drawcord, and there are pockets on both sides of the waist, arranged front and back.
Otherwise, the design makes the most of the traditional structure of judo pants, with reinforcements made from the same fabric sewn into the back of the knees. The generous gusset naturally accommodates steep climbs and high leg lifts, while the wide silhouette provides excellent ventilation for a comfortable fit.

■Styling Tips
Thanks to its unique silhouette—wide-leg and three-quarter length—you can wear it stylishly whether you choose a smaller or larger size. Please enjoy it in whatever fit you prefer.
There are holes on the inside of the hem for threading a drawstring, so you can cinch the hem when wearing them.
Whether you pair them with short kunai pants or tuck them into the kunai pants to create some room around the knees, you can enjoy a bold, Tengu-like silhouette.
Its distinctive silhouette, as it sways in the breeze, evokes a quintessentially Japanese charm.

We use vintage-finished nylon that features a natural texture with a subdued sheen and just the right amount of body and resilience.
While providing the durability needed for outdoor activities, it also offers just the right balance of breathability, wind resistance, and water repellency, making it comfortable to wear across a wide range of seasons, from fall through spring.
