"Thought and Creation"
When the Karfwa Tights were first released, all other companies’ products that used Octa employed it as a lining. This was likely because those products were designed for activities in environments that were colder and at higher altitudes than Japan. While I, Ryo, was also interested in Octa for its light weight and moderate insulation, I had no intention of using it as a lining. This is because, in the low mountains—Ryo’s usual terrain—I felt that layering a single-layer pair of octa tights with pants—sometimes spring/summer styles, sometimes fall/winter styles—offered greater freedom and was overwhelmingly more versatile. For cold-weather hiking, they serve as active insulation that provides moderate warmth while on the move; in warmer seasons, they can be slipped into the gaps in your backpack to keep you warm at night during overnight hikes—making them useful year-round in a variety of situations.

"With Care"
It’s very lightweight and offers just the right amount of warmth. This “just the right amount” is precisely what aligns with the concept of “enduring”—it keeps you from overheating even on routes with endless ridge climbs or repeated ups and downs, making it perfect for endurance hiking.

"Styling"
First, the basic rule is to wear them directly against your skin. Ryo offers pants with varying levels of breathability, so please choose the best pair for your body type and the current weather, and enjoy styling your Kalfwa tights with various layering options. Depending on the weather, it can also be quite charming to just wander around the Hammock area in “classic long johns” style.

"Features of the Material"
While the surface appears to be simply a mesh, the reverse side is covered with fine, fluffy fibers, providing ample warmth despite its lightweight design. Teijin’s groundbreaking polyester material, Octa, is about half the weight of polyester fibers of the same diameter, and The hollow core of the fiber and the eight protrusions arranged radially on its surface not only quickly absorb and disperse sweat but also create a space that traps a large amount of dead air due to its unique shape, thereby providing thermal insulation.
