The following improvements and changes were implemented in the December 2025 update:
・The handle section of the White model has been redesigned to eliminate all play, improving operability (same as the Silver model).
・Adjust the length of the storage bag so that the handle is exposed
・Increased the belt wrap diameter to make it easier to wrap the belt
・Improved stitching on the White belt section to reduce load concentration at attachment points (same as Silver)
The arata AU-08 was developed specifically for use in Japan's mountaineering scene.
The most significant difference between the long trails of Europe and America, which foster a rich outdoor culture, and Japan's mountain climbing scene is the "terrain."
Japan's mountaineering scene thrives in mountainous regions where updrafts are easily generated.
Furthermore, many scenes extend beyond the treeline where there is less shelter, resulting in frequent encounters with strong winds.
The optimal solution for tools should differ depending on the environment—this concept gave birth to arata's trekking umbrella, the "AU-08 / White • Silver."

・The diameter was set at 88 cm for ease of use and reduced fatigue.
・While designed for optimal use as a sun umbrella, it can of course also be used as a rain umbrella.
・Features a two-stage folding design prioritizing strength and lightweight construction.
・Both White and Silver feature EVA on the toe cap.
・Designed with wind resistance and ease of use in mind, featuring eight ribs.
・The frame is made of carbon fiber, and the shaft is made of aluminum—both high-quality, premium materials used without compromise.
・The grip prioritizes ease of handling so anyone can confidently control the umbrella even in windy conditions.
・By redesigning the belt shape, the umbrella can now be closed even when extended.
・It can be finished like a straight type despite being foldable.
・We redesigned the storage bag for improved usability.
