Based on the sole unit of the "MTL LONG SKY 2"—an all-around model that has become a staple since its release in 2022—and featuring the highly durable "MATRYX" upper, this shoe allows you to tackle rugged terrain without worrying about upper wear. It highlights its exceptional lightness, breathability, and grip, enabling a more aggressive, forward-driving style. Designed with a weight of approximately 240g (size 27.0cm/per foot)—positioned between the ultra-lightweight flagship model "MTL SKYFIRE 2 MATRYX" (approx. 200g) and the "MTL LONG SKY 2" (approx. 280g)—this model strikes a perfect balance.

・ MATRYX Upper [+TPU Reinforcement]
The upper features a robust multifilament blend of Kevlar® fiber and high-strength polyamide. It boasts exceptional abrasion resistance and minimizes stretching, ensuring the upper’s durability and stability. By using MATRYX as the base, we were able to redesign the upper pattern, successfully reducing the number of overlay parts. This has resulted in a structural design that is lighter and more breathable.

・ 37.5 Tongue Lining & Mesh Footbed Cover
Thanks to a unique structural system in which the micro-pores of the active particles increase the surface area of the fibers, moisture is removed in the vapor phase (allowing humidity to escape), thereby improving comfort in the foot area.

An ESS (PVC) shank plate that stabilizes the arch and reduces foot wobbling and twisting.

・ FLOATPRO Foam Midsole
This sustainable EVA foam offers excellent cushioning and rebound properties while successfully balancing the seemingly conflicting requirements of lightweight design and durability (long-lasting performance). To minimize environmental impact, it is manufactured using a "zero-waste production process" and is made from TPE (thermoplastic elastomer), a material that is highly recyclable.

・ Vibram MEGAGRIP outsole
This is one of the top-performing compound grips from "Vibram," the world-renowned Italian sole manufacturer. It delivers exceptional grip on wet surfaces and rugged, uneven terrain. Meticulous attention has been paid to the lug pattern and lug depth (5mm)—factors that significantly influence grip performance in the field. Rubber is wrapped around the entire sole, from toe to heel, to absorb impact upon landing and provide stability.
