■Excerpt from the manufacturer's description
Octa CPCP for Use as a Fleece
In recent years, the outdoor apparel and active insulation categories have expanded rapidly.
Overseas brands were primarily the first to develop these products. One such active insulation filling material was TEIJIN Octa CPCP, which was known for its light weight and high thermal insulation properties.

For the STATIC, we chose to use a single layer of Octa CPCP—a nylon-based lining material—as the lining. We made this decision because products from brands developed for high-altitude, arid climates tend to be heavy due to the use of Octa CPCP as the shell fabric, and we felt this would make them difficult to layer in Japan, where such garments are often carried as insulated layers.

Thanks to its unique mesh construction, it is significantly lighter than fleece fabrics typically considered lightweight—those weighing around 300 grams—and offers exceptional warmth relative to its weight, making it highly portable and suitable for use all year round.
