This sunshade reduces skin ageing such as spots, freckles, wrinkles, sagging and sunburn by cutting out UV rays, which have a negative impact on the skin's outer layer, and near-infrared rays, which have a negative impact on the skin's inner subcutaneous tissue. It also reduces fatigue and helps to conserve energy during midsummer traverses in the Alps. Ultraviolet and near-infrared rays account for about half of the light in sunlight (6% and 42% respectively), with the rest being harmless visible light.
