Made from high-quality New Zealand wool and woven in Italy, this lightweight, breathable fabric isn’t as warm as a typical wool shirt; thanks to its powerful natural odor-neutralizing and moisture-regulating properties, it always feels fresh and comfortable.
With its wide fit and open collar, it prevents you from overheating. When you need ventilation, you can quickly unbutton the front or roll up the sleeves; when it gets cold, you can stand up the collar and fasten it with the buttons. Thanks to these unique details found in the Yama to Michi Trail Shirt, you can freely control wind resistance and your perceived temperature.

Merino wool is said to "stay odor-free even after wearing it for a week," and it possesses significantly superior odor-neutralizing properties compared to synthetic fibers treated with deodorizing agents.
Although many mysteries remain regarding the mechanism behind this odor-neutralizing effect, one theory suggests that wool has an extremely high capacity to absorb odor-causing compounds, trapping them within its fibers at levels undetectable to the human nose.
● Cool in summer and warm in winter, with natural humidity-regulating properties
Often referred to as "nature's air conditioner," merino wool regulates temperature and humidity inside your clothing, creating a comfortable wearing experience.
This dual nature—keeping you cool in hot weather and warm in cold weather—is due to two factors: first, the natural crimp in the wool fibers, known as “crimp,” creates air pockets within the fabric, ensuring high breathability and moisture permeability; and second, the cortex—the outer layer of the fiber—absorbs moisture in response to ambient humidity, absorbing more moisture as humidity levels rise.
The air pockets created by the "crimp" act as loft, retaining heat in the same way as down or synthetic fiber batting, and provide superior insulation compared to cotton or synthetic fibers of the same weight.
