Titanium-coated heat reflection to maximise the heat retention of the synthetic fibre down AIR FLAKE.
AIR FLAKE, used by STATIC for many years, is a synthetic fibre down with a "bulkiness" of 850 FP, made by analysing down, and of course, because it is a synthetic fibre, it is resistant to moisture and has the security that only a synthetic fibre can provide. It is of course made from 100% recycled polyester.

From this season, AIR FLAKE has been made in the form of a sheet sandwiched between non-woven fabrics, allowing for a functional design unique to synthetic fibre down, rather than a conventional baffle structure.

The AFTERBURNER PARKA is designed with two 100 g/m2 AIR FLAKE sheets in the body, with an emphasis on loft that is unique to belay parkas. It follows the classic belay parka design, but with an easy-to-use twist.

・RecycleNylon Titanium Sputtering
It uses an advanced technique called 'sputtering', which involves spraying molecular-level titanium onto nylon fabrics, creating an ultra-thin titanium coating on the nylon fabric without losing the fabric's inherent lightness and moisture permeability.
The fabric weight remains the same and the titanium coating provides more effective high heat retention by heat reflection of body heat.

・Recycle Polyester AIR FLAKE850FP
AIR FLAKE was created by analysing the characteristics and shape of eider duck feathers from the Arctic Circle, and is characterised by its "bulkiness", which is comparable to that of natural down at 850 FP.
Previously, AIR FLAKE could only be made in baffle construction, but this season it has been updated to a new specification where it is sandwiched between non-woven fabrics to prevent bias.

*On the exfoliation of titanium*.
Due to the nature of the material, repeated rubbing or strong friction with fingernails, watches or other protrusions may cause the titanium coating to peel off.
Titanium coatings can peel off due to direct skin contact or repeated rubbing in a steamy environment such as sweat, but the risk of peeling is reduced in this product because there is almost no direct skin contact due to Octa's raised fleece layer and the tool has less friction under load conditions.
Please note, however, that due to the nature of the material, it is not "totally non-peeling".
