We’ve prioritized the loft of the filling and the weight of the product, so we’ve chosen a thin, lightweight outer fabric.

The first time I held a prototype sample of the THERMOFRONT® OA jacket with synthetic fiber insulation, I was amazed by its incredible loft and lightness.
At the same time, I became convinced that this material could successfully balance the functionality and environmental sustainability that STATIC seeks at a high level.

"OCTAIR®," a hollow, irregular-cross-section yarn with the same cross-sectional shape as Octa® CPCP®, a product well-known from the ADRIFT series.
"THERMOFRONT® OA" is made by molding this OCTAIR® into a cotton-like sheet.

The hollow structure and eight protrusions trap a large amount of air, resulting in exceptional loft.
It is lightweight yet provides excellent thermal insulation, and its superior compressibility makes it highly portable.

Keep it warm while making it as light and compact as possible.

〇OCTAIR(R), used in THERMOFRONT(R) OA, is a fiber made from ECOPET(R)—a material derived from PET bottles—that features a hollow structure and eight protrusions.
By trapping a large amount of air, it provides excellent thermal insulation.
By using OCTAIR(R), which is approximately 40% lighter than standard polyester fibers of the same diameter, we have created a lightweight product that still provides excellent thermal insulation.

In addition, the OCTAIR® used in this filling is made entirely from recycled polymers and is blended at a 70% ratio into THERMOFRONT® OA.
Compared to virgin raw materials, we have reduced CO2 emissions by 23% (*2) throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials to the shipment of fabric.

This next-generation synthetic fiber insulation combines excellent thermal insulation, lightweight properties, and environmental friendliness.

The outer fabric is made of ultra-thin 10D recycled nylon manufactured in Japan.
It features a non-fluorinated “GreenBeads Ultra-Superhydrophobic” finish, which provides both high water repellency and long-lasting performance.
With durable water repellency that maintains a water repellency rating of 80 even after 100 washes, this fabric effectively repels rain and water droplets while ensuring long-lasting use.

Another key feature is that it takes advantage of the lightweight nature unique to ultra-thin 10D fabric, ensuring that the overall portability of the garment is not compromised.
Furthermore, by using 100% recycled nylon, we are helping to reduce our environmental impact.
This outer fabric offers a well-balanced combination of lightness, water repellency, durability, and environmental friendliness.
