A long-awaited update to the classic half-zip hoodie style that has been a staple of the STATIC brand since its first year of launch.
The design has evolved into a balaclava style, with a high hood and collar that provide full coverage up to the neck.
We've designed this hoodie to provide excellent protection against the cold, making it suitable for use in the field even during the depths of winter.

Octa® CPCP® for Use as Fleece

In recent years, the outdoor apparel and active insulation categories have expanded rapidly.
Overseas brands were primarily the ones leading the way in product development.
One such active insulation filling material was TEIJIN Octa® CPCP®, which was known for its light weight and high thermal insulation properties.

For STATIC, we chose to use a single layer of Octa® CPCP®, a nylon lining material, as the lining.
We reasoned that products from brands developed in high-altitude, arid climates—which incorporate Octa® CPCP® into their shell materials—are heavy, making them difficult to layer in Japan, where people often carry them as insulated outerwear.

Thanks to its unique mesh construction, it is significantly lighter than fleece fabrics typically considered lightweight—those weighing around 300 grams—and offers exceptional warmth relative to its weight, making it highly portable and suitable for use all year round.

■Material Characteristics
・Lightweight feel: About half the weight of polyester fibers of the same diameter
・Moisture-wicking and quick-drying: Feels about half as heavy as polyester fibers of the same diameter
・Heat insulation: The dead air trapped within the space created by the hollow sections and eight protrusions provides heat insulation.

■Environmental Factors
・Starting in Fall/Winter 2023, we became the first in the industry to use 53% recycled materials.
・Through recycling, CO2 emissions during fabric production are reduced by 23% compared to OctaCPCP made from virgin polyester.
・We use fabric produced at a factory in Japan that has received OEKO-TEX® certification (*)
・In the fabric dyeing process, biomass (plant-based) is used instead of petroleum to reduce CO2 emissions.
・Cutting scraps generated during the manufacturing process are recycled into new fabric rather than being incinerated.
・Brand, Size Tag, and Care Label: 100% recycled polyester made from plastic bottles
