Lightest backpack in its class. The Lightning is an extremely lightweight roll-top backpack that can be used for a wide range of applications, from day mountaineering to overnight tents, traverse mountaineering, long trails and backpacking.

It is lightweight but well equipped with thick cushions to prevent shoulder and back injuries after long periods of carrying.
The Lightning series features a suspension system that allows the back length to be changed to suit the body shape. A sturdy single aluminium stay distributes the load and is fixed to the waist pad to transfer the load to the hips. The padded shoulder harness slides along the stays and adjusts to your body, allowing you to precisely match the back length while minimising contact points.
The small contact area of the back pad allows back perspiration to dry efficiently.

The main opening, the roll-top closure, is weatherproof and can be adjusted in capacity to accommodate additional gear as required. Hooked straps and zigzag side compression straps can be used to secure climbing ropes or other gear on top of the closed mouth.

Stretch mesh pockets on both sides can hold water bottles and trekking poles, while zippered stretch pockets on the hip belt can hold small items such as action foods and mobile phones.
The top water-resistant zipped pocket is useful for storing valuables.
