The Pertex Equilibrium fabric used in the Light 5-Pocket Wide Pants is an extremely thin and lightweight material.
Although the ripstop construction provides durability, rubbing against sharp objects such as rocks or branches can cause small holes to form, which may lead to the fabric tearing. Please exercise caution when traversing rocky ridges or sitting down on rocky ground during breaks.
Wide-leg pants for summer hiking
The wide-leg version of the Light 5-Pocket Pants, so light it feels like you're wearing nothing at all.
Made from lightweight Pertex Equilibrium fabric and featuring a unique pattern design that enhances breathability, this garment offers a cool and comfortable feel even in hot weather.
This new option features a wide silhouette and is designed with thoughtful details to ensure comfortable hiking even in the mountains.
*Changes to the 2026 model
・We have redesigned the waistband tape to prevent twisting.
・We have revised the construction of the pocket lining.

Drawing inspiration from two distinct concepts—the traditional Japanese workwear known as "monpe" and the balloon silhouette—we spent two years refining every detail through repeated field testing. The result is a fusion of these two approaches, resulting in a unique pattern and silhouette that sets these pants apart from standard wide-leg styles and offers exceptional mobility even in the mountains.
