Ultra-lightweight mittens made from scraps of the UL All-weather Hoody—perfect for use in rain or wind without getting stuffy.
Typical rain mittens made from waterproof, breathable materials tend to trap moisture—a trade-off for their waterproofing—causing hands to sweat during activity.UL Mittens combine truly breathable Pertex Shield Air with Pertex Shield Pro—which offers superior waterproofing in areas exposed to rain—to achieve both the waterproof performance of rain mittens and the comfort of wind gloves. With a “breathable feel” that allows air to flow through the mittens, they stay dry and comfortable even during active use.
What’s more, they weigh just 19g (Size S ). When folded, they fit into any pocket, so you’ll never have to wonder whether to bring gloves again. These mittens will be your trusted companion on chilly mornings or along windy ridgelines.

About Fabric Colors
Since this item is made from scraps of the UL All-weather Hoody fabric, the color of the fabric may vary very slightly depending on the section.

■Product Care
・Wash on a gentle cycle with water at 30°C or lower.
・Please use a detergent specifically designed for rainwear, or a neutral detergent that does not contain bleach, fabric softener, or optical brighteners.
・For heavy stains, apply detergent diluted with water and spot-clean with a soft sponge. Do not rub the surface seams or the seam tape on the back.
・Please dry the item periodically on the low-temperature setting of your dryer (maximum 60°C) to restore its water-repellent properties.
・Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
・When ironing, do not use the steam function; iron at a low temperature.
・Do not dry clean.
・If products containing petroleum jelly, insect repellent ingredients, or ethanol (such as hair cream, cosmetics, sunscreen, insect repellent, etc.) come into contact with the fabric, Pertex Shield Pro may develop stains or experience a reduction in its moisture-permeability.
■Precautions for Use
・It is not completely waterproof.
・This product is an ultra-lightweight mitten made from an ultra-thin, waterproof, breathable fabric. Please be careful to avoid damage or tears caused by rubbing against rocks or snagging on trees.
・These mittens are designed for comfort during activities in relatively mild conditions, so they offer less insulation than standard-weight mittens. Please exercise caution when using them in harsh conditions—such as when severe weather like storms is forecast—and consider wearing wool gloves underneath.
・To ensure optimal waterproof and breathable performance, proper care after wearing is essential. The membrane, the water-repellent finish on the fabric’s surface, and the inner layer of the fabric will all lose their effectiveness if dirt, sweat, or body oils accumulate on them. Please wash and dry the garment regularly according to the care label instructions to keep it clean.If the water-repellent function on the fabric’s surface is compromised, breathability will also be lost. If you feel the water repellency has weakened, periodically restore it by applying heat—such as using a low-temperature setting in the dryer or directing a hair dryer at the fabric.However, repeated washing will eventually wash away the original water-repellent treatment, at which point applying heat will no longer restore the water-repellency. In such cases, please use a commercially available water-repellent treatment to maintain the fabric’s performance.
・Because this is an extremely lightweight and thin porous material, products containing petroleum jelly, insect repellent ingredients, or ethanol (such as hair cream, cosmetics, sunscreen, and insect repellent) may cause stains or reduce the fabric’s moisture-permeability if they come into contact with it.
■Waterproofing of Seams
Although UL Mittens are made from highly water-resistant material, they are not completely waterproof because the seams have not been waterproofed.
To make it completely waterproof, please waterproof the seams yourself.
