In rethinking Patagonia's iconic Retro X, we've cleaned up its soft 6mm thick pile fleece with 100% Reprieve recycled polyester. Sourced from coastal communities threatened by plastic pollution, this new Ocean Cycle-certified material recreates the traditional garment (which has been imitated by brands around the world) as a familiar waistcoat that keeps you warm from the elements. The relaxed silhouette, the fluffiness of the inside of the collar and the shape of the pockets - with the special consideration of looking back to designs from the early 2000s - will ensure that it will be an old but fresh favourite for many years to come. Manufactured in a Fairtrade Certified factory.

Lining in 100% recycled polyester taffeta, manufactured without the intentional use of PFAS and DWR (durable water repellent) treated.

Fleece-lined stand-up collar with 100% netplus post-consumer recycled nylon failles on the outside and edging, which recycles fishing nets to help reduce marine plastic pollution

Full-length front zip with wind flap inside to block even cold gusts

Pocket.
One zippered left chest pocket lined with 100% netplus post-consumer recycled nylon fayle. Two zippered handwarmer pockets lined with 100% recycled polyester raised tricot.
