Octa fabric is composed of two types of fibres: polyester woolly fibres and polyester hollow octopus foot section fibres.
Of this, 53.6% of the woolly yarn is replaced by recycled polyester (ECOPET), reducing the environmental impact.
46.4% will be regular polyester hollow octopus foot cross section yarn.
This recycling process reduces CO2 emissions* by 23% during fabric production by using the same material of recycled polyester, compared to OctaCPCP of virgin polyester.

What is OctaCPCP?
OctaCPCP, a mesh fleece material with a mesh surface and deformed cross-section hollow polyester bristled fibres integrated into the mesh material on the front which serves as thermal insulation.
Polyester fabrics characterised by their lightness, warmth and heat release.
Normally used as a lining, STATIC has adopted it as a stand-alone fleece.

Lightweight: about one-half the weight of polyester fibres of the same diameter.
Sweat-absorbing and quick-drying properties: one-half the weight of polyester fibres of the same diameter.
Thermal barrier: Dead air in the space between the hollow and the eight prongs provides a thermal barrier effect.

From autumn/winter 2023, we have become the first company in the industry to use 53% recycled material.
Recycled polyester reduces CO2 emissions during fabric production by 23% compared to OctaCPCP made from virgin polyester.
The yarn itself is 100% non-recyclable polyester, but dyeing is also carried out using biomass (derived from plants) rather than petroleum, and textile waste from the production of the fabric is recycled.
The names are also made from recycled yarn.
