BEDROCK SANDALS has relocated from Oakland, California, to Missoula, Montana, where the natural outdoor surroundings are even more abundant.
However, in that region, where winters are harsh, it was difficult to get through the entire year wearing only sandals as they had done before.
As a result, they needed footwear that offered functionality on par with the other sandals in their lineup, while also ensuring comfort during the winter months.
And that’s how this pair of shoes was developed.

This Mountain Clog, designed to fully cover the foot from the instep down, keeps the winter cold at bay, making it a versatile pair of shoes you can wear year-round.
Wearing thick, warm socks provides excellent insulation.
What’s more, since there’s little risk of injuring yourself by bumping your toes or dropping something, you can wear them without worry in a variety of situations while staying safe.

Furthermore, with its round, gentle appearance, it pairs exceptionally well not only with outdoor wear but also with casual wear, making it a versatile choice not just for outdoor activities but also as a stylish everyday pair of shoes.

■Features of the Nubuck Leather Mountain Clog
Made with Ecco leather—oiled nubuck tanned using the water-saving Dri-Tan process.
The upper is made from a single piece of leather with no lining, making it gentle on the feet and highly durable.
It is also resistant to water and stains, and one of its distinctive features is the natural grain that is unique to leather.

The clogs feature a polyurethane footbed that offers excellent cushioning and durability, and is anatomically contoured with a zero-drop design (where the heel and toe are at the same height).

The patented Mountain Clog design features high-quality webbing that can be adjusted at three points, as well as a closed-toe climbing rubber toe cap designed to handle any adventure.

Vibram's black non-marking Megagrip rubber sole offers exceptional traction and durability, delivering reliable performance in all conditions. It is resoleable.

・The straps across the instep and heel can be adjusted with G-hooks, just like on the Cairn 3D Pro. Since there is no strap across the instep, the fit is slightly less secure than that of the Cairn series, but this is offset by a greater sense of freedom in the forefoot. The strap on the outer instep releases with a single motion and securely holds the foot in place, making it easy to put on and take off.

・The footbed features a gentle, contoured shape—right in between the completely flat Carin and the three-dimensional Cairn 3D, which is designed to support the sole of the foot. Additionally, since it has the thickest sole in the BEDROCK SANDALS lineup, it offers excellent cushioning and is comfortable enough to wear all day without getting tired.

・The outsole, newly designed specifically for Clog, offers the functionality needed for outdoor activities while also being easy to use when pedaling a bicycle or in everyday situations. Additionally, because it features Vibram Mega Grip, it provides excellent traction in wet or muddy conditions.

・The toe area, which is subject to frequent physical contact, is coated with rubber to enhance safety and durability.

Compared to the Cairn Evo series, it is slightly smaller in size.
Therefore, if you’re wearing the Cairn Evo series in a size that fits you snugly, we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual size.

○ Comparison with the Previous Cairn Series Models
Since these are designed to be worn with socks, they are built about one size larger than the Cairn series. While you might find the extra room a bit noticeable when wearing them barefoot, you can secure them firmly by adjusting the three straps.
