These minimalist gaiters are designed to prevent pebbles, dead leaves and other debris from entering the shoes when sinogging. The breathable softshell material eliminates the uncomfortable steaminess of rain gaiters, and the short length means that they are lightweight at only 37g per foot and have stretch properties. The slim fitting, inspired by Tabi Shoes, reduces stress on the foot during long days of shinogging and is also useful for safety in rough terrain. The use of toggles for the laces allows for easy and secure fastening.

0 Comfort of use
A fitted kunai eliminates underfoot stress in chinogging and provides good visibility underfoot, allowing you to safely pass through bad areas. If the hem is fitted tightly to the shoe, no foreign objects can enter and no snow can get in. If used correctly, you will experience this kind of comfort.

0 use and use
Except for chinogging in fields with snow, I use the Kunai Short to get by whether it is sunny or raining. I don't mind getting wet so much because I don't often use waterproof shoes and I can manage to get by with good water repellent maintenance. The toggle at the front of the hem is slipped over the shoelace and then pulled up and secured. Then, by attaching a bungee cord or sturdy thin drawstring to the loops on either side of the hem and securing it to the bottom of the shoe, the hem area can be fitted tightly to the shoe to prevent foreign objects from entering and lifting the hem. It can also be easily fixed to some shoes by means of a hook and loop fastener on the underside of the heel. The Kunai Short can be combined with the Futae Bonn, Hakama Skirt and Ameno Skirt to create a beautiful Ryo-like silhouette.

The double-faced softshell fabric is strong enough for the Kunai Short. Although the breathability figures checked by third-party testing institutes are not very high, you will hardly feel stuffy in actual use. And in addition to being moderately windproof and water-repellent, it also passes UPF 50+ for blocking UV rays.
