Lightweight, compact and packable, it provides ample warmth in all conditions. Can be worn on its own or layered under a winter coat for extra warmth.

The idea for the Dunfri Parka originally came from a mountain guide who wanted longer-lasting insulation that he could carry in his backpack. This was not only to keep them comfortable in general conditions, but also because they needed protective clothing in case they had to spend the night outside.
An insulated jacket that covers the torso as well as the buttocks makes a big difference in extreme cold survival.
While there are usually only a few instances where you will spend the night in the mountains, the Dunfri Parka's light weight and great insulation will satisfy you no matter how you choose to spend your winters.

The Dunfri range, which means 'down-free' in Swedish, contains no down at all.
The decision to eschew animal-based materials such as down and feathers, and instead use synthetic insulation as a padding, is due to its functional benefits, as well as Houdini's belief that birds should not suffer for human comfort from an animal welfare perspective.

The Dunfri Parka's fabric is made from extremely lightweight and durable Spinner Ripstop, and the insulation inside is made from Primaloft Gold, a cutting-edge synthetic fibre. However, it maintains its insulating properties even when wet, without losing its warmth, making it a material that really shows its worth in adverse weather conditions. The fabric has a PFAS-free water repellent finish and both the fabric and insulation are made from 100% recycled polyester, which means they can be recycled again when worn, ensuring a circular product that is both comfortable and environmentally friendly. It also features a packable function that fits neatly into a storage pocket and is easy to carry on the move.

The Dunfri Parka is ideal for activities where you spend a lot of time outside, such as ski touring and mountaineering expeditions, but it is also ideal for cold weather protection in lifestyle situations such as camping trips and commuting. The combination of clean, minimalist looks and cutting-edge performance creates a truly chameleon-like characteristic in terms of both functionality and style. It can be worn on its own or as insulation layered inside or outside an outer layer.
