*Important Safety Information*
・This product is an ultra-lightweight waterproof shell made from an ultra-thin, waterproof, breathable fabric. Please be careful to avoid damage or tears caused by rubbing against rocks or snagging on trees.
・To ensure optimal waterproof and breathable performance, proper care after wearing is essential. The water-repellent treatment on the membrane and fabric surface, as well as the inner layer of the fabric, can lose their effectiveness if exposed to dirt, sweat, or body oils. Please wash the garment regularly according to the care label instructions.
・Because this is an extremely lightweight and thin porous material, products containing petroleum jelly, insect repellent ingredients, or ethanol (such as hair cream, cosmetics, sunscreen, and insect repellent) may cause stains or reduce the fabric’s breathability if they come into contact with it.
■Short-lived water repellency
It is often said that the thicker the fabric, the more water-repellent treatment can penetrate it, resulting in better long-term water-repellency. However, the UL All-weather series prioritizes lightweight design and breathability, so we use the thinnest, most breathable outer fabric possible. As a result, while the garments have sufficient water-repellency at the time of shipment, their long-term water-repellency is lower than that of thicker, breathable waterproof materials.
While the water-repellent properties are effective, moisture that comes into contact with the fabric surface will roll off as droplets; however, once these properties weaken, the moisture forms a film over the fabric surface, impairing breathability and potentially causing the inside of the garment to become stuffy or wet due to condensation.
If you feel that the water-repellent properties have diminished, you can restore them by applying heat with a dryer or hair dryer after washing. If the water-repellent properties still do not return, please treat the fabric with a commercially available water-repellent spray.
■Points to Note During a Plateau
This product is designed for comfortable wear during activities in relatively mild conditions; as such, it offers less insulation than standard-weight waterproof shells or winter hardshells. Therefore, when you are stationary or need extra warmth, you will need to adjust your layering accordingly. Please exercise caution when using this product in harsh conditions.
○ The upgraded "all-weather operational uniform"
Whether you're on a sweaty hike, walking along a wind-swept ridge, or braving a downpour, the UL All-weather Hoody is an all-weather activewear piece you can keep wearing in any conditions.
At the heart of its design is the unparalleled breathability provided by “Pertex Shield Air,” a breathable, waterproof fabric. However, it also had a drawback: as its water-repellency decreased, so did its water resistance.
To achieve this, we used "Pertex Shield Pro"—which offers an excellent balance of water resistance and breathability—in areas most exposed to rain, and "Shield Air" in the underarms and back, where moisture tends to build up. This approach successfully enhances confidence in rainy conditions without compromising the lightweight, airy feel characteristic of the UL All-weather series.
Among the series, the UL All-weather Hoody—which eliminates zippers to minimize points of water ingress—is surprisingly lightweight (120g for size S ) and soft against the skin. It may not be the world’s lightest, but it is the world’s simplest shell.
■Details of Each Part
・Please wear the hood so that the adjuster is positioned under your chin. If the hood covers your mouth or chin, rain running down your face may seep into the garment.
・The design features a loose fit around the body and neck. This allows heat and moisture to escape easily while making it easy to put on and take off.
・The hem can be cinched using the drawstring.
・Elastic is used only on the inside of the wrist, achieving both a snug fit and a lightweight feel at the cuff.

・Wash on a gentle cycle using water no hotter than 30°C.
・Please use a detergent specifically designed for rainwear, or a neutral detergent that does not contain bleach, fabric softener, or optical brighteners.
・Please wash this item on its own or place it in a laundry net.
・For heavy stains, apply detergent diluted with water and spot-clean with a soft sponge. Do not rub the seams on the surface or the seam tape on the back.
・Please dry the item periodically in the dryer on a low-temperature setting (maximum 60°C) to restore its water-repellent properties.
・Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
・Do not use the steam function when ironing; iron at a low temperature.
・Do not dry clean
