■Thoughts and Creativity
Around the time Ryo began rolling out the Kalhwa series, many competing products that incorporated Octa were using it as a lining.
However, in the low mountains of Japan—Ryo’s natural habitat—we felt it made more sense to layer a single-ply Octa over a base layer, and that’s how this Calfwa sweater came to be.
When you're bothered by wind or cold, simply layer a Tabi-glass and a Kunado; this layering method is by far the most versatile.
This garment is versatile enough to be worn year-round—as dynamic thermal wear during physical activity in cold weather and as static thermal wear to prevent chills from sweat while at rest in warmer weather.

■With Care
It’s surprisingly lightweight, yet provides just the right amount of warmth. This “moderate warmth” embodies the very essence of Ryo’s philosophy of “surpassing.”
Even on long ridge hikes or routes with varying degrees of steepness, you won’t get too hot and can stay comfortable throughout your hike.

■Styling Tips
We recommend pairing it with a wool-blend base layer. If you're concerned about wind or cold, layering a Tabigarasu or Kunado on top will further enhance your comfort.
Ryo offers a lineup of outerwear with varying levels of breathability, so you can enjoy layering according to your body type and the weather.

■Material Features
While the surface features a simple mesh structure, the reverse side is covered with fine brushed fibers, providing sufficient insulation despite its lightweight design. Teijin Octa is approximately half the weight of standard polyester fibers of the same diameter; furthermore, its hollow structure and eight radially arranged protrusions allow it to quickly absorb and disperse sweat. Furthermore, its unique cross-sectional shape traps a large volume of dead air, delivering excellent heat-shielding and thermal insulation performance.

■Air permeability: 363.8 cm³/cm²/s
Materials: Teijin Octa 94g/m2
■Composition: 100% polyester
■weight：117g
