At STATIC, we recommend natural materials for base layers that come into direct contact with the skin, minimizing the use of petroleum-based fibers as much as possible. Merino wool keeps you warm in winter and wicks away heat in summer. For outdoor use, it is a highly functional fiber that offers not only thermal insulation but also moisture-wicking properties, odor resistance, and a soft, comfortable feel against the skin.

I was looking for a fabric made from merino wool that would be comfortable to wear even during the spring and summer months when you tend to sweat a lot. The solution I found was the ALL ELEVATION blended fabric, which combines merino wool with recycled polyester yarn.

・ALL ELEVATION, rebuilt in Bishu
In collaboration with wool experts from Bishu, we’ve created a fabric that retains all the signature qualities of our ALL ELEVATION line while offering a softer feel and greater comfort.
The textured border mesh construction provides excellent breathability, while the recycled polyester yarn enhances quick-drying performance. Wearing a windshell over it provides additional warmth, making this a versatile piece that works well both as a base layer and on its own.
Of course, we use a non-chlorinated resin shrink-resistant treatment.

・Eco-friendly shrink-resistant finish
In our non-chlorine resin anti-shrink treatment, we do not remove the scales; instead, we modify the hydrophobic scales to make them hydrophilic and coat them with hybrid collagen to prevent the scales from tangling with one another—thereby preventing shrinkage. Furthermore, this process does not use any resins.
It offers greater peace of mind in terms of biodegradability compared to chlorine-treated fabrics, and the fabric that comes into contact with the skin consists solely of wool fibers, not synthetic resins. Furthermore, by preserving the scales that regulate wool’s natural properties, we have been able to create wool products that fully utilize the inherent functions of wool fibers. It can be described as an eco-friendly shrink-resistant treatment that preserves the natural qualities of wool fibers as much as possible.
I can’t forget the words of the developer at the shrink-resistant factory, who told me, “Since we don’t use chlorine, it’s safe for our employees’ health.”

・Starting with the 2025 model, we have adopted flat seams for a more comfortable feel against the skin
