This update includes a change of outsole to Vibram Megagrip, which provides reliable grip on dry and wet trails, regardless of weather conditions.
It provides the adaptability and stability to run over any terrain at will.

The weight has been successfully reduced by more than 30 g from the previous Timp 4 (277 g at 28.5 cm in MENS), leading to a more nimble movement despite the solid 29 mm thickness.

The midsole is equipped with ALTRA EGOMAX. The shock of landing is absorbed with excellent absorption and converted into resilience, supporting comfortable running even over long periods of time. Highly durable and designed to withstand long-term use.

In addition, the foot shape adopts Standard Footshape to minimise blurring during landing and maximise fit. The footshape structure that does not cramp the toes, zero drop structure, and design with flexibility is retained, ALTRA's concept of preventing injury and supporting natural running.

The Timp 5 is a model in which grip, lightness, cushioning and fit have all evolved to a higher dimension. As an ideal pair for hiking as well as trail running, it provides all-day comfort even on rough terrain.
