Socks knitted from a mixture of merino wool and Japanese paper, with a special attention to detail.
Each piece is carefully processed by craftsmen using a bruising raising machine that has been in use for more than 100 years.
Yubi Socks" use a unique yarn made from two different materials - Japanese paper, which has high water absorption, quick-drying and strength, and merino wool, a natural material with high antibacterial, odour-resistant and quick-drying functions.
By adopting the seamless manufacturing method "WHOLEGARMENT" during production, the entire garment is knitted three-dimensionally to create a comfortable fit that is seamless and absorbent. In addition, as there is no cutting of the fabric, there is no waste of material, which is also nature-friendly and leads to eco-friendly production activities.
The high water absorption, quick-drying and strength characteristics of washi have made it a material that has attracted attention in recent years as a sock material. In the current situation, there are only a few products that can be given a passing mark for comfort because of the hardness of the single material. By mixing it with merino wool, softness is fused into the material and a comfortable feel is created.
Both socks are produced in Japan with enhanced comfort that cannot be achieved with only one of the materials.
■ Tabi sock (tabi) type construction: the differences in comfort created by differences in finger length have been improved upon and the fabric elongation rate and finger crotch length to suit most people has been achieved. The tabi shape allows the thumb to open, making it easier to transmit power to the sole and comfortably draw out the power of the fingers, even when wearing socks.
