Technical 100% merino wool balaclava made of fine fibres. The fabric Solid Gridmerino™ is an all-natural performance fabric made in Italy.
Finding a well-fitting performance balaclava for high-intensity outdoor sports is not easy. And no other model made from 100% superfine merino wool combines such a high level of technicality and comfort: the Desoli Thermal Balaclava is the ultimate combination of natural comfort and technical functionality.
Solid Gridmerino™ is a special fabric: it has a high technical performance that is rare for a 100% wool fabric. The grid-like structure creates an air layer inside the fabric, making it both warm and breathable. It provides excellent warmth and dries quickly. Merino wool also retains its warmth even when wet with moisture or perspiration, making it ideal for balaclavas, which can easily become stuffy from exhalation. The face cover can be adjusted by folding it up or down.
Solid Gridmerino™ is produced by Reda in northern Italy. The wool is 100% 17.5 µm ZQ certified Super Fine Merino™, produced on the company's own farm in New Zealand. The company's own integrated production process guarantees compliance with animal welfare and environmental standards.
The Desoli Thermal Balaclava is ideal for outdoor sports in cold weather, such as alpine skiing, ice climbing, skating, cross-country skiing and winter running. Thanks to its flat seams and precision fit, it works comfortably when worn under a helmet.
This product is made from future-proof, recycled materials. When they reach the end of their useful life after years of use, they can be reused as raw materials, thereby reducing the use of new resources and reducing environmental impact and waste.
