■Differences in Characteristics Based on Color
Due to differences in dye concentration, there are variations in the functional properties achieved through processing; while the fabric strength of the off-white version is slightly lower than that of other colors, its antimicrobial performance tends to be relatively higher.
Due to the fabric's natural mottled texture, the same color may appear slightly different in shade.
■ About Odor Absorption
There have been reports of people noticing odors, such as body odor, when wearing items previously worn by others. It is possible that the body odor of someone else—to which the wearer is not accustomed—became absorbed into the fabric, causing a sense of discomfort. There have also been reports of people noticing the smell of algae after wading in rivers or streams.
In the following situations, Chemical B may not be able to fully demonstrate its antibacterial, odor-preventing, and deodorizing properties.
・When sebum builds up excessively
・When the pH level of sweat is high after sweating
・If alkaline detergents or chemicals remain
・When acidic odor-causing compounds (e.g., butyric acid, isovaleric acid, and other substances derived from skin flora, commonly referred to as body odor) increase due to factors such as leaving wet clothes unattended
■Regarding Stitch Marks at Seam Lines
Due to the nature of the fabric, stitch marks tend to remain after sewing, and small pinholes may become visible if you pull on the sewn areas.
It is safe for normal use and wear, but please avoid pulling on it too hard.
■ Odor-free, moisture-wicking synthetic base layer
The "Chemical B" base layer series, developed in collaboration with Teijin Frontier, eliminates the problems of "chills from sweat" and "odors"—which have traditionally been the weak points of synthetic base layers.
