Active insulation (heat-retaining action wear) for comfortable action in the snowy mountains, with repeated action and stagnation in extreme temperature fluctuations.
The thick (136 g/m2) Polartec Alpha Direct, which combines breathability and heat retention, allows you to walk comfortably while allowing your body heat to escape efficiently, while the high level of insulation protects you from the cold when you stagnate*.
Go from home to the snowy mountains, get covered in wind and snow, sleep in a tent and go home again. A middle layer for snowy mountains that you can keep on all the while.
*Because of the breathable nature of the material, a hardshell should be worn over it in high winds.

The water-repellent finish of the outer fabric has been moved from C6 DWR to C0 DWR in consideration of the environmental impact.
■ Function and design
'Large front and side pockets'
The lack of pockets for gloves, action food, maps, cameras, sunglasses and other gear that you want to get in and out of quickly while hiking and that are easy to get in and out of with gloves on was a problem we had with our snow gear.
The Alpha Anorak is therefore equipped with a large front pocket and a double layer of Alpha Direct fabric on the abdomen to provide extra warmth in the abdomen. The convenience of having everything you need in one place while hiking in the front pockets will definitely be felt in the snowy mountains.
'Wide-opening side zips and ventilation'
Underarm ventilation and detachable side zips for a wide range of temperatures as active clothing in the snowy mountains. Both open wide for easy temperature control and smooth on/off.
■Details of each part
Hood designed to cover the chin (helmet fitted over the hood).
The hood can be stored behind the neck, preventing cold air and snow from entering when the hood is not in use and effectively retaining heat in situations where it is hot with the hood on but cold around the neck.
Thumbholes prevent sleeves from rolling up and keep the palm and back of the hand warm.
A snap button is attached to the hem of the left side zipper to prevent the zip from opening depending on usage conditions.
The right hem has a cord and adjuster to tighten the waist.

■ Product care
The titanium coating on the reverse side of the fabric will peel off the particles through repeated friction such as washing*, but with correct care the coating can be maintained for longer.
*The titanium particles that flow into sewage are extremely small and are not considered to have an impact on the environment.
When using a washing machine, set the machine to a low water flow course suitable for delicate garments, etc. as indicated on the washing instructions and wash the garment in a net.
Some types of detergent may very rarely cause a chemical reaction with metal and discolour it, so do not use detergents with bleaching or enzyme ingredients, but wash with a neutral detergent.
Avoid prolonged soaking as the detergent components may exfoliate the titanium.
After washing, do not wring out strongly and hang dry in the shade.
Do not iron or dry clean.
If fluffing of the lining is noticeable at the time of purchase, please wash the product once.
■ Caring for crushed raised hair
The brushed material used in Yamaido's active insulation is characterised by its light weight, excellent breathability and moderate heat retention. However, after repeated use, the bristles may collapse and the warmth retention may decrease.
If this happens, use a metal bristle brush specially designed for plush toys and brush gently along the fur flow. Yama to Michi's own tests have confirmed that taking care of crushed bristles improves warmth retention.
