Yamatomichi UL mitten (Unisex)
■Manufacturer's description quoted.
Ultra-lightweight mittens made from strips of cloth
Mittens created from UL All-weather Hoody strips.
They are not fully waterproof as they are not seamed at the seams, but like the UL All-weather Hoody, they are made of Pertex Shield Air, a breathable and waterproof material that can be used as rain mittens or wind gloves. And at just 19g, they're super lightweight, so don't hesitate to take them with you when you're not sure whether to bring gloves or not.
See support for waterproofing.
About the colour of the fabric
As the UL All-weather Hoody is made from strips of fabric, the colour of the fabric may vary very slightly from part to part.
■Material
・Pertex, Shield Air:100%
・Nylon, C6 DWR (Durable Water Repellent Process), 58g/m2
■Weight
19g(Size S)
23g(Size M)
■ Product care
Washing should be carried out at a water temperature of 30°C or less on a low-flow course.
Use a special detergent for rainwear or a neutral detergent that is bleach-, softener- and fluoro bleach-free.
For heavy soiling, apply a detergent diluted with water and wash the area with a soft sponge. Do not rub the surface joints or the seam tape on the reverse side.
-Regularly dry it in a dryer on a low temperature setting (maximum 60°C) to restore its water repellent properties.
Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
Ironing should be done at low temperature, without steam.
Do not dry clean.
Pertex Shield Pro may stain or lose its moisture permeability if products containing Vaseline, insect repellent or ethanol (e.g. hair cream, cosmetics, sunscreen, insect repellent) are allowed to adhere to the fabric.
■Precautions for use.
The product is not fully waterproof.
This product is an ultra-lightweight mitten made of ultra-thin waterproof and breathable fabric. Please be careful not to damage or tear the product due to rock scrapes, snagging on trees, etc.
The gloves are designed to be comfortable to wear when operating in relatively warm environments and provide less warmth than standard mittens of a similar weight. Please take care when using these mittens in extreme conditions, for example, wear wool gloves as innerwear when stormy weather conditions are predicted.
To ensure maximum waterproof/breathable performance, care must be taken after wearing the garment. The membrane, the water-repellent finish on the surface of the fabric and the inner layer of the fabric will each lose their performance if dirt, sweat or sebum adheres to them. Wash and dry frequently according to the washing instructions and keep clean. If the water repellent function of the fabric surface is lost, the moisture permeability will also be lost. If you feel that the water repellency has weakened, regularly apply heat to the fabric by running it through a low-temperature dryer or applying a hairdryer to it to restore its water repellency. However, repeated washing will cause the initial water repellent to wear off and the water repellency will not return even if heat is applied. In this case, use a commercially available water repellent and care for it regularly.
Due to the extremely lightweight and thin porous material, products containing Vaseline, insecticide or ethanol (e.g. hair cream, cosmetics, sunscreen, insect repellent) may adhere to the fabric, causing staining and reducing the moisture permeability function.
■ Waterproofing of seams
UL Mittens is made of waterproof material, but is not fully waterproof as the seams are not waterproofed.
To make it completely waterproof, please waterproof the seams yourself. *Specifications (logo position, colour, pattern position, etc.) may differ slightly from this product due to the use of manufacturer's images.
