Whether you’re on a sweaty hike, walking along a wind-swept ridge, or—of course—on a day of pouring rain, the Yama to Michi UL All-Weather Series offers all-weather activewear designed for those who venture out in any conditions.
The new Pertex Shield Air fabric achieves a significant reduction in weight compared to conventional breathable, waterproof, and moisture-permeable shells, and its exceptional breathability has reached a level where it can now be called a “fully waterproof windshell.” It also feels so light and soft that you’d never guess it’s a rain jacket.
Among the series, the UL All-weather Jacket—featuring a chest pocket that can hold the jacket itself and a double zipper that opens both up and down—allows for quick ventilation even during high-intensity activities.Furthermore, by opening and closing the snap buttons at the armholes, you can quickly roll up the sleeves when it’s hot or use them as thumbholes when it’s cold, allowing the jacket to adapt to a wider range of temperatures.

We've added a chest pocket that can hold the main unit, making it packable.
We've added snap buttons at the armholes to make it easier to roll up the sleeves.
I made some minor adjustments to the silhouette.
We've made the chest width of Size XS—which was slightly narrow—one size wider.

■Precautions for Use
・This product is an ultra-lightweight waterproof shell made from an ultra-thin, waterproof, breathable fabric. Please be careful to avoid damage or tears caused by rubbing against rocks or snagging on trees.
・This jacket is designed with comfort in mind for activities in relatively mild conditions; as a result, it offers less insulation than standard-weight waterproof shells or winter hard shells. If severe weather, such as a storm, is forecast, please take extra precautions when using this jacket in harsh conditions—for example, by wearing merino wool as an inner layer.
・To ensure optimal waterproof and breathable performance, proper care after wearing is essential. The water-repellent treatment on the membrane and fabric surface, as well as the inner layer of the fabric, will lose their effectiveness if dirt, sweat, or body oils accumulate on them. Please wash the garment frequently according to the care label instructions.
・If the fabric’s water-repellent properties are compromised, its breathability will also be lost. If you notice a decline in water repellency, apply heat—such as by tumble drying on a low setting or using a hair dryer—to restore the water-repellent properties.However, repeated washing will cause the initial water-repellent treatment to wear off, and the water-repellent properties will not be restored even with heat. In that case, please use a commercially available water-repellent treatment to maintain the fabric regularly.
・Because this is an extremely lightweight and thin porous material, products containing petroleum jelly, insect repellent ingredients, or ethanol (such as hair cream, cosmetics, sunscreen, and insect repellent) may cause stains or reduce the fabric’s moisture-permeability if they come into contact with it.For information on how to remove these stains, please refer to the article “Cleaning Grease Stains from Rainwear” in the Yama to Michi JOURNALS “Yama to Michi Repair Department Newsletter #2.”
■Product Care
・Wash on a gentle cycle with water at 30°C or lower.
・Please use a detergent specifically designed for rainwear, or a neutral detergent that does not contain bleach, fabric softener, or optical brighteners.
・Please wash this item on its own or place it in a laundry net.
・Please make sure the zipper is closed before washing.
・For heavy stains, apply detergent diluted with water and spot-clean with a soft sponge. Do not rub the surface seams or the seam tape on the back.
・Please dry the item periodically on the low-temperature setting of your dryer (maximum 60°C) to restore its water-repellent properties.
・Do not use fabric softener or bleach.
・When ironing, do not use the steam function; iron at a low temperature.
・Do not dry clean
・If products containing petroleum jelly, insect repellent ingredients, or ethanol (such as hair cream, cosmetics, sunscreen, insect repellent, etc.) come into contact with the fabric, they may cause stains or reduce the fabric’s moisture-permeability.
