The original aim when the Superlight series was designed was to create an extremely lightweight tent that was also strong and durable.
To achieve this goal, Terranova developed a flysheet (7d and 10d nylon 6.6) with a tear strength of 6kg. The project was accomplished with the birth of this fabric, which has gained a large share, especially in adventure races.
The evolution of mountain tents is also a challenge to make them lighter.
Racer Pulse 1 may be the ultimate goal of this challenge.
This is because, despite being double-walled, this tent weighs an astonishing 545g.
Furthermore, the storage size is incredibly compact, comparable to a 500ml PET bottle, excluding the pole.
However, the set-up size is 220 cm in length, 50 cm in width, and with a maximum ceiling height of 82 cm, which provides enough space for a one-person shelter.
