The GRIGRI is a brake-assisted belay device designed for experienced belay climbers, both in the gym and on the rock.
It is compact, lightweight and can be used with single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm.
The brake assist function provides increased maneuverability during belaying, hangdog, and when arresting a fall.
The handlebar cam release mechanism allows for excellent descent control.

A brake-assisted belay device that can be used with a wide range of single rope diameters, both in the gym and on the rock:
- Paying out the rope and arresting a fall are done in the same way as with standard belaying techniques (never let go of the free end of the rope)
・The brake assist function works by rotating the device when the climber falls, and the cam pinches the rope between the device and the main body to stop it. The brake function works by holding the end of the rope, so never let go of the end of the rope.
- Suitable for use with single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm, optimal for ropes with diameters from 8.9 to 10.5 mm
- Diagrams showing how to set the rope are engraved on both the inside and outside of the device
