Piranha RT90 tent peg
■Manufacturer's description quoted.
Lightweight pegs made in Switzerland from moulded reinforced plastic.
The RT series was the first item in the piranha peg range, from which a new series of pegs was started.
■Features.
Ultra-light weight 3.2 g
X-shaped shape and jagged piranha-like teeth for high retention in the ground. Difficult to dislodge.
The peg itself should be inserted perpendicular to the ground, without tilting.
Flat head to avoid stumbling and injury around the tent.
... hard to turn.
Guylines can be secured by twisting them in the grooves of the head.
No sharp edges and will not damage the tent fabric.
■Environmental
Compared to aluminium moulding, only 1/13th of the energy is required for the production process.
Red colour is conspicuous in nature, easy to find and hard to lose.
Please do not throw away unwanted RT pegs, but send them to STATICBLOOM after clean-up, e.g. to remove soil.
All are sent to Piranha headquarters, where they are recycled and transformed into Piranha BF pegs.
■Care and precautions.
After use, wash off dirt and mud and dry thoroughly before storing.
If bent, it can be restored to its original shape by warming it in the oven at 160°C for 5 minutes.
Take care to avoid burns during operation.
Even reinforced plastic pegs can bend against hard ground or rocks.
Not invincible.
The pegs are not as sharp as aluminium pegs and may not be easy to drive into hard ground. (Conversely, on soft ground, such as grass or grassed areas, the holding power is unmatched.)
■Weight: 3.2g
■Length: 90 mm.
■Head diameter: 19 mm
■Supportable temperature range: -30 to 110°C
Country of origin: Switzerland
The specifications (logo position, colour, pattern position, etc.) may differ slightly from those of this product as the manufacturer's images are used.
