It was produced at the suggestion of Sir Chris Brasher, Olympian and later founder of the London Marathon.
At a time when heavy canvas packs were the norm, he identified the 'weight' of the pack as the key to improved functionality.
The Classic is the first backpack in history to cut weight.
The latest Classic series is now an overall well-balanced backpack in terms of body weight, ease of access when riding, comfort at all speeds and multifunctional components.
