An all-season insulated waistcoat that combines functionality and sustainability. Made from a fabric with an innovative fabric construction to prevent marine pollution caused by microfibre shedding, the Mono Air Vest has been developed as a new generation of technical clothing alternative to fleece and is designed around the same concept as the award-winning Mono Air range The Mono Air Vest is designed based on the same concept as the award-winning Mono Air range. It uses PolartecPower Air Light, specially designed by Polartec in the USA to combat the problem of marine plastics, which reduces microfibre shedding by up to 80% compared to conventional fleece products. Furthermore, the lightweight, warm and durable fabric is made from recycled and recyclable materials, making it both functional and sustainable.
With traditional fleece, the raised fibres are exposed and can fall out of the garment during washing and use, whereas the fabrics in the Mono Air range have been designed with numerous small pockets arranged between the outer and inner fabrics, into which bulky fibres are woven like a wadding material. The special capsule structure created in this way traps warm air from the body and creates insulation, while at the same time preventing the fibres from falling out. The fabric surface is reinforced with Hardface® treatment to prevent pilling and snagging and to increase durability and water repellency, ensuring years of long wear in hard outdoor activities. The front of the waistcoat is also reinforced with C9 Ripstop fabric, made from wind-resistant 100% recycled polyester, to protect against cold gusts when used as an outer layer.
The Mono Air Vest is versatile and versatile. With large zippered pockets on each side, it is lightweight and durable, and thanks to its stretchy and breathable fabric, it works all year round. It can be layered over any garment you can think of - hiking, cycling, ski touring, gardening - and is the perfect addition to a well-chosen wardrobe for living well with less.
