The footbed is thicker than in the normal Cologne to provide more cushioning, and the support is improved by making the arch of the foot and the base of the toes more three-dimensional.
They also have pentagonal grooves, called Geo Patterns, on the contact surface with the sole, providing better grip in both dry and wet conditions.
In addition, the improved breathability means that perspiration dries more quickly and keeps the soles comfortable.
For traversing even tougher wet, rocky terrain and muddy, muddy, roadless paths, Vibram's Mega Grip is used.
The sole itself is also stiffer, which reduces stress on the sole from rocks, stones and tree branches rolling on the ground, and allows for more efficient pedalling on the bike.
