A new dual fuel model has been released for the Astro, a simple model with a single light and single switch. It can use either the BD1500 battery (sold separately) or AAA alkaline batteries, so you can use the BD1500 battery for everyday use and the alkaline batteries when you are in an environment where you cannot charge it for an extended period of time, depending on the situation.
