Black Diamond's lightest helmet, the Vapor, has been renewed.
For the 2023 model, the foam material has been changed from the conventional EPS to lightweight and elastic EPP.
Only the top of the head, which is subject to impact, is made of a combination of polycarbonate and EPS, and further strength is increased by sandwiching the reinforcing material ALUULA.
This allows us to achieve a light weight of 170g (S/M, actual measurement) while still meeting the strict UIAA strength standards.
In addition, the chin strap is now adjustable for a better fit.
