The Allside Paddle Strop is a Bushcraft JP original strop designed specifically for knives.
The leather is moderately wide, and the long side has a sufficient stroke.

・When you place it on a desk and use it, your hand holding the knife will not touch the desk.

This is a leather strop for sharpening blades.
The sharpening method is similar to that of a regular whetstone, but whetstones are different in that they sharpen the blade by making strokes in only one direction.
In addition, when sharpening knives, water is not used, but a special compound (sharpening powder) is used.

It is suitable for knives with convex edges, but of course it can be used to sharpen all kinds of blades, including not only convex-edged knives, but also kitchen knives.
*Not suitable for blades with special shapes such as serrated edges, curved edges, and saw blades.

Leather is placed on all four sides of the paddle strop.
Since they are designed specifically for knives, the entire surface is made of floor material (rough surface).
The size and shape are based on the Bark River strop, but the leather surface has been increased and improved.
If you use three-color compound, you can sharpen your teeth at less than half the cost by using just one of these four-sided all-side paddle strops.
(*We recommend using Bushcraft's original compound.)
Additionally, one side is left as a spare, so it can be used for polishing without applying compound (traditionally done with razors).

■ Key points
- Due to the manufacturing process that does not seal the edges (cut surfaces) of the leather, the edges of adjacent pieces of leather do not interfere with stropping.
- The narrow side is designed to be easy to use with knives that curve inwards.

We recommend using Bushcraft JP's original compound.
The quality of the leather is the same as Bark River. The wood is made of pine, so it is lightweight and durable.
