A: This product is not suitable for splitting thick, hard logs or firewood.
We recommend the Plaski Axe for splitting thick firewood.
It is made thinner and lighter than a firewood splitting hatchet so that it can be used for a wide range of purposes.
Please be careful not to apply excessive force as this may cause damage.

Q: Why use waxed canvas?
A: Waxed canvas repels water, is durable and lightweight, making it the ideal fabric to protect your tools.
It is also a material that can be enjoyed as it wears and changes over time.

Q: How should I care for the sheath?
A: Waxed canvas should never be dry cleaned or machine washed.
However, you can still clean it carefully if you wish.
Brush off any loose threads or dirt, rinse the surface with water, gently scrub with a brush, and allow to dry naturally.
If dirt is noticeable, use a mild acid soap.
You may need to re-wax it over time or after cleaning.
If you re-wax, use a wax conditioner and follow the wax manufacturer's instructions.
