The Lone Peak has gained tremendous support not only from trail runners but also hikers due to its perfect balance—not too thick nor too thin—and its fit to many foot shapes.
While maintaining the characteristics of the Lone Peak, durability, grip, and comfort have been improved.
The upper part uses a nearly seamless design with almost no seams, achieving both lightness and durability.
Additionally, the fit from heel to toe feels smooth without any stiffness, and the consistently soft touch ensures comfort even during long activities.
The outsole part features ALTRA's unique MaxTrac outsole, upgraded to offer more stickiness and improved grip.
The outsole pattern has also been greatly changed to follow a more natural foot movement from ground contact to toe-off, and the shape is designed to grip the ground better and provide propulsion.
The heel area is made more voluminous to improve the fit around the heel.
Also, to provide stability at landing without hindering subtle heel movements, some hard materials have been placed.
