Tents that can be used by small people can of course also be used by small people, but the larger the tent, the heavier it is and the unnecessary weight load it imposes on small people.
Tent weight is an important issue for people of equivalent build, as people of shorter stature have less muscle strength than those of taller stature.
This is particularly important for women, who generally have less muscle strength at the same height than men.
A comparison of the average height of Japanese men and women shows that men are approximately 172 cm while women are approximately 158 cm, a gap of about 8%.
However, tents are not lined up in sizes according to height or gender like apparel.
Therefore, arata thought that a tent that could be used by a person of approximately 165 cm without difficulty would be the ideal size for many women and small men, and would also resonate with climbers who prioritise light weight even if it means some inconvenience.
The completed AX-75 is 200 cm wide, 75 cm deep, 93 cm high and weighs a minimum of 900 g, making it one of the lightest double-walled mountain tents in Japan.
(Equipment weight 1045 g, but the weight of the attached groundsheet of 68 g is not included in the equipment weight).
It also features the unique sleeve-hub construction common to the AX series and a truss structure that makes full use of guy lines, making the tent lightweight yet strong and allowing the tent to increase in strength as the weather conditions change.

Cancellation, returns and exchanges
Before ordering

Cancellation of orders
