Appalachian Gear Company All-Paca Poncho

■Quote from manufacturer's description
The poncho has been considered a highly functional and practical garment for centuries, with its origins dating back to the Andes and Patagonia regions of South America.
At AppGearCo, we love products that are practical and functional - products that are useful in a wide range of climates and situations.
One such product is the classic poncho, which (like all Appalachian Gear Company All-Paca products) is a highly effective layer that is versatile, easy to put on and take off, and highly breathable.
The new All-Paca poncho is made from 100% baby alpaca fleece with no added synthetic fibers.
This highly packable piece is a natural temperature regulating material so you'll stay warm when it's cold, cool when it's sunny and insulated even when wet.

The poncho is perfect to wear under a rain poncho for extra warmth, as an outer layer, or stuff into a sleeping bag for extra insulation.
With a unisex hooded design, the All-Paca Poncho is a sustainable, high-performance alternative to synthetics that anyone can thrive in on the trail and beyond.

Fabric weight: 250gsm

■Maintenance
*Note: Alpaca wool is susceptible to insect damage, so store it away from insects.

You'll never need to wash this poncho because alpaca stays fresh naturally, but don't worry if you spill spaghetti on it.
Wash alone in cold water on gentle cycle with liquid detergent (do not use harsh powder detergents, bleach or "oxygen" cleaners).
Then tumble dry on low heat for 10-12 minutes.

- You can also use dryer balls to fluff it up.
In some cases, rolling your poncho with dryer balls on low for 10-12 minutes will be enough to fluff it up without needing to wash it.
Be careful not to wash or tumble dry your poncho with other clothing, especially clothing with buttons or zippers, as the poncho has seamed edges that may catch on metal fittings on clothing.

- When you receive your clothing, it may be slightly flattened or stiff due to how it has been shipped and folded.
If so, use 3 or 4 wool dryer balls, put it in the dryer with no heat (i.e. fluff cycle) and spin for about 15 minutes - this will fluff up the poncho.

○ If you are backpacking or traveling and need to wash this poncho for some reason and regular detergent is not available
Backpacking: Rinse in river water and air dry, do not use detergents and follow the leave no trace principle.
- When traveling: Use shampoo and mild liquid dish/hand detergent (1-2 drops), rinse in the sink, wring out and hang dry or lay on a towel to dry.
