The All-Paca fleece beanie hat by Appalachian Gear Company is made from 100% alpaca fibre.
They are also ultra-lightweight, breathable and storable.

The seams are strong and the garments are made for backpacking and mountaineering.
The knit construction and fibre properties allow perspiration to escape easily while maintaining remarkable insulation properties.
Its excellent properties allow it to be worn in a wide range of temperatures.
Alpaca fibre does not absorb much moisture and dries quickly.
Appalachian Gear Company's fleece is not thick at all, is not bulky and is warmer than other types of bulky fleece.
Most importantly, alpaca retains its warmth even when wet.
Down and synthetic fabrics do not insulate well when wet.

Appalachian Gear Company's special knit construction is resistant to 'wire', so if you puncture a hole while in the backcountry, you need not worry about the hole getting longer, although it may get slightly larger over time.

It is not necessary to wash these garments frequently.
Even if you are active and sweat, simply ventilating the air is a great ? It is durable.
Alpaca leaves no odour and prevents the growth of bacteria.
As it is an animal fibre, it is susceptible to insect damage and, like wool, should be kept free from insects.
However, washing will not damage the beanie hat.
▪ Use low to medium load, cold water, light cycle (normal cycle OK) and wash with other high-performance materials and socks.
It is recommended not to wash large quantities of laundry or with heavy fabrics such as jeans or towels.
Use normal detergents. Do not use 'washing soda', chlorine bleach, peroxide bleach or 'oxygen-based detergents'.
Tumble dry the garment on low with other similar items.
Drying only takes approximately 8-10 minutes. Drying from inside at high temperatures or with large quantities of jeans or towels is not recommended.
Flattening and drying is also effective.
Fleece products do not shrink much.
When garments are received, they may be slightly flattened or stiff due to shipping or folding.
If this happens, turn the garment inside out and place it in the dryer without heat (i.e. the fluffing cycle) using three or four wool dryer balls and rotate it for 15-20 minutes. This will cause the garment to fluff.
○If you are backpacking or travelling and need to wash this garment for any reason and cannot get regular detergent
-Backpacking: rinse with river water and allow to dry naturally. Do not use detergents and follow the principle of leaving no traces.
-When travelling: use shampoo, neutral liquid dish/hand detergent (1-2 drops), rinse in sink, wring out and hang dry or place on towels to dry.
