■How to Use a Folding Knife

1. To extend the blade, turn the ring to release the lock.
2. After extending the blade or when retracting it, slide the ring back into place to secure the lock.
3. If the blade does not come out easily, gently tap the handle against a surface that will not be damaged.

■About the Blade

The blade is made of stainless steel with a working hardness of HRC 55–57. It is renowned for its rust resistance and ease of maintenance. The blade, with its gently curved profile, features a tab to facilitate opening, as well as engravings of the “OPINEL” logo, a hand holding a crown, and the word “INOX,” which stands for stainless steel.

■About the Handle

The handle is made of French beech wood. With its fine, uniform grain and exceptional strength, it is the wood most commonly used for Opinel handles. It is engraved with the "OPINEL" logo and the words "SAVOIE-FRANCE," and finished with a clear varnish to protect it from moisture and dirt.
