■Features
Our initiative with Hokuto City in Yamanashi Prefecture, based on the concept of “turning waste into treasure,” is now in its second year. For the Spring/Summer 2026 season, we collaborated with three sake breweries—all of which engage with nature through projects like the Mountain Water Project—to create three distinct colors.
Wine lees (WN), which are separated out and discarded during the settling process; sake lees (SS), produced during the pressing of sake; and the leaves and vines left over after the hop harvest. By repurposing these materials—which are typically discarded—as dyes, we have created rich, deep hues.
Thanks to its excellent colorfastness, it resists fading and, like other Icebreaker merino wool products, is machine washable at home.
This loose-fitting T-shirt is a lightweight style that’s perfect for year-round wear.
