Yamatomichi Light Alpha Vest Jacket (Unisex)

Thermal action wear that doubles as a waistcoat with excellent breathability and warmth retention.
Active insulation (warming action wear) that can be worn all the way through late autumn, late snow season and winter low-mountain hiking.
The lightweight, highly breathable 85 g/m2 Polartec Alpha Direct insulation material keeps the body warm while allowing the body's heat to escape during action, yet keeps you warm when stagnant, allowing you to continue moving comfortably in the mountains in winter.
In addition, the sleeves can be removed to make a waistcoat, which can be used for higher-impact activities without keeping the abdomen and other parts of the torso cool. For winter hikers.

The size range has been revised from men's/women's to unisex and the size range has been changed to XS-XL.
The water-repellent finish of the outer fabric has been moved from C6 DWR to C0 DWR in consideration of the environmental impact.

Jacket that becomes a waistcoat
Even with the highly breathable Polartec Alpha Direct, the body can heat up during high-intensity activities and you may want to take it off when the sun shines, but without a jacket you risk cooling your abdomen and it is a hassle to take it out of your backpack every time your body gets cold during stagnation.
The Light Alpha Vest/Jacket is a single piece of clothing that can be used in a very wide range of situations, and even in hot conditions when you want to take it off, you can remove the sleeves and use the waistcoat to continue your activities while protecting your core from the cold, which is important for maintaining body temperature.

The zip is placed at an angle to avoid hitting the mouth and chin.
Double zip design allows ventilation from above and below. The upper slider pull is non-slip and easy to operate even with gloves on.
The pockets have a mesh interior and function as ventilation.
The thumbholes are made of tough Taslan nylon to prevent tearing when using an ice axe or getting your hands on rocky terrain.
Both sides have cords and adjusters for hemming.
The back is longer to prevent it from being turned up by backpacks, etc.

■ Product care
The titanium coating on the reverse side of the fabric will peel off the particles through repeated friction such as washing*, but with correct care the coating can be maintained for longer.
*The titanium particles that flow into sewage are extremely small and are not considered to have an impact on the environment.
When using a washing machine, set the machine to a low water flow course suitable for delicate garments, etc. as indicated on the washing instructions and wash the garment in a net.
Some types of detergent may very rarely cause a chemical reaction with metal and discolour it, so do not use detergents with bleaching or enzyme ingredients, but wash with a neutral detergent.
Avoid prolonged soaking as the detergent components may exfoliate the titanium.
After washing, do not wring out strongly and hang dry in the shade.
Do not iron or dry clean.
If fluffing of the lining is noticeable at the time of purchase, please wash the product once.

The brushed material used in Yamaido's active insulation is characterised by its light weight, excellent breathability and moderate heat retention. However, after repeated use, the bristles may collapse and the warmth retention may decrease.
If this happens, use a metal bristle brush specially designed for plush toys and brush gently along the fur flow. Yama to Michi's own tests have confirmed that taking care of crushed bristles improves warmth retention.
