Our first step into the global market is a jacket and pants set made with “Tasma,” a three-layer waterproof and breathable fabric. In preparation for our international expansion, we’ve adopted a PFC-free durable water-repellent finish.The design is by a Swiss designer who co-developed the AMAUTI backpack with us. While maintaining our development philosophy—which emphasizes the careful selection of materials, cuts that faithfully follow the range of motion at the joints, and ventilation—we’ve added a touch of European and American flair.Our unwavering policy remains “Functional Beauty.” Every distinctive visual element of our products serves a specific function. The angled front zipper is carried over from the TSURUGI JACKET, as is the three-dimensional cutting that preserves shoulder mobility.The longer length reflects Western trends, and zippers on both sides allow for smooth leg movement during uphill hikes. Like our other shells, it features a low-profile design throughout, making extensive use of laser-cutting and ultrasonic bonding. TETON BROS.’s new challenge begins here.

■FEATURES

・Angled zipper
The double-slider zipper, which opens wide from the neck to the sides, is carried over from the TSURUGI JACKET. It offers both maximum ventilation and ease of putting on and taking off.

・Hood Design
A hood designed to be worn over a helmet. It adjusts both vertically and horizontally to ensure a comfortable fit whether or not you're wearing a helmet.

・Zipper at the hem
A zipper designed to ensure a full range of motion for the legs when pulling up the pants. It is positioned in a straight line with the side zipper on the GLOBAL PANT, enhancing ventilation efficiency.

・Laser Ventilation
The upper back features a permanently open ventilation system created by overlapping layers of fabric.

・Inner pocket
Inside the front zipper is a mesh pocket that's convenient for storing valuables and other items.

・Hem stopper
The drawcord stopper at the hem is positioned at the center front rather than on the side. This design is intended to prevent interference with gear attached to the gear loops when wearing a harness.

■Maintenance Instructions

・While machine washing is possible, we recommend hand washing (by gently pressing the fabric).
・Use a mild detergent; do not use fabric softener or bleach (detergents containing fabric softener ingredients can reduce water repellency).
・Please close all zippers and Velcro fasteners before washing.
・Please rinse at least twice.
・Do not use the spin cycle on your washing machine, as it may damage the fabric or cause the machine to malfunction.
・Do not tumble dry or dry clean
・After washing, reshape the item immediately and hang it to dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
・If the water-repellent properties have diminished, iron the item using a pressing cloth (on the low-temperature setting).

■Tasma

○ Material Description

This next-generation waterproof and breathable fabric was developed in collaboration with Toray. It features an ESP membrane created using an electrospinning process that involves layering microscopic polyurethane fibers. The multiple layers of microscopic mesh block moisture while allowing for physical breathability.That is why it is described as “breathable” rather than “moisture-permeable.” Another key feature is its soft, comfortable feel—hardly what you’d expect from a waterproof, breathable fabric. The outer fabric uses high-strength nylon, balancing durability with light weight. Thanks to mechanical stretch, it offers ample elasticity despite being made of 100% nylon.The lining is a 20-denier knit backing with excellent moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties, combining a supple texture with high functionality to create a material that strikes a perfect balance between waterproofing and breathability.

○ Instructions for Use

When washing this item yourself, please use a neutral detergent. Never use fabric softener or bleach. Be sure to hand-wash it, gently pressing the fabric as you wash. Do not use the “hand wash” cycle on your washing machine.
After washing, be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove all detergent residue. Any remaining detergent will reduce the fabric’s water-repellency. (Since surfactants are substances that bind water and oil together, any detergent left on the fabric will significantly reduce the water-repellency of the fabric’s surface.)
The same applies when fine dust particles or other debris are trapped in the fabric’s surface; particles left in the fabric’s pores often cause a decrease in water repellency or allow water to penetrate. After rinsing, dry the item in the shade, and iron it while it is still slightly damp. Be sure to use a low heat setting and take care not to melt the fabric. Do not use a dryer.
