Multifunctional polyethylene mats
ASP-03 is a polyethylene mat that makes sleeping while climbing more comfortable.
It can be used in combination with an air mat for more comfortable sleeping, and is also recommended for UL hikers who want to keep weight to a minimum.
It is made of polyethylene, a lightweight but highly insulating and comfortable sleeping material, which is deliberately imported from a different country to the country of manufacture. This has resulted in an R-value of more than 0.4 for a thickness of 3 mm. Currently, there is no product with a better R-value per weight than the ASP-03.
The length is 180 cm, making it easy to combine with a variety of air mats. Combining both prevents air mats from slipping and increases the R-value. Furthermore, by folding the ASP-03, it can be transformed into a lightweight high-performance UL mat with a length of 90 cm, a thickness of 6 mm, an R-value of approx. 0.85 or more and a weight of 42 g.
The result is a lightweight, high-performance and choice of polyethylene mats tailored to Japan's recent mountaineering scene, where climbing styles are becoming increasingly diverse.
