A trekking pack featuring a double-chamber design with a highly breathable monomesh fabric and a waterproof pack liner.
The pack itself does not retain moisture easily, providing a dry feel when worn and allowing for the use of both dry and wet compartments.
The mesh structure, which makes the packing visible, creates functional beauty and updates the hiker’s individuality and outdoor style.
The SUM series features a "hydrophobic" finish and a "dual-chamber structure with a waterproof pack liner" as its key highlights, while incorporating the functionality and design philosophy that THE NORTH FACE has cultivated in the MOUNTAIN/RUN category throughout the collection.
The compartment design and storage capacity derived from the MOUNTAIN pack, combined with the lightweight construction and on-the-go convenience of the RUN pack, provide comfortable support for hikers who enjoy a variety of styles.
The fit is designed with shoulder load distribution as the primary consideration, and the waist belt is designed to be worn with the idea of "supporting" the load, making it a trekking pack meant to be carried on the back.

〇Highly hydrophobic monomesh
The main body of the pack is made from "Monomesh," a highly breathable and water-repellent fabric. It resists absorbing moisture from rain or sweat, and dries quickly even when used for hiking in the rain or activities near water. Monomesh is also used on the back of the pack and the underside of the waist harness—areas that come into contact with the body and tend to trap heat and sweat—to ensure breathability.
The fabric is uncoated, making it highly resistant to hydrolysis and ensuring a long service life.
〇Packing that takes advantage of high visibility
The sheer monomesh fabric provides excellent visibility into the interior, allowing you to see exactly what’s packed where—even from the outside. Simply changing the color of the stuff sacks inside alters the pack’s overall look, letting you enjoy the packing process itself by how you display the contents.
■Pack Liner
• Equipped with a waterproof pack liner
Using the included liner allows you to pack clothing, sleeping bags, and electronics that you want to keep dry separately inside the main compartment. This makes it easier to access the interior and side pockets in rainy weather than when using a rain cover over the entire pack. The pack liner can also be carried on its own.
